Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe had a dream to turn their site into a cohesive, state-of-the-art theatre arts center that supports first-class artistic productions and education programs. The first phase was the renovation and addition to the historic Binz building in the Warehouse District of Sarasota, FL. The Binz building, which is located adjacent to their current main theatre space (the renovation of which will be phase two of their Captial Campaign), will serve as their main office, multi-functional rehearsal space, and Education and Outreach Center.

Following the renovation and addition of Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe's Binz Building the next phase was the renovation of their Main Theatre. The renovation consisted of reworking the entire core of the building including the main theatre, green rooms, rehearsal spaces, dressing rooms, offices and cooridors. This renovation allows WBTT to help benefit the theatre community including the wide variety of demographics of Sarasota, FL.
